Kristin began her baton, gymnastics, and dance training in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Her baton training started with ​the Winnipeg Tempo Twirlers under Linda Boyd at the age of 3. She was also coached by former Winnipeg Tempo ​Twirlers, Lucinda McMaster (world freestyle gold medalist) and her cousin, Andrea Shore (nee. Cacanindin) (world ​team bronze medalist) between ages 8-14. She continued her elite level training at 14 years old in Regina, ​Saskatchewan under world renowned coaches, Maureen Johnson and Alan Kramer. She competed in the ​Freestyle, Pairs, and Team events at 7 World Baton Twirling Championships where she captured several ​accolades: 1 team Canada world gold cup, 1 silver medal in the team event, 1 bronze medal in the team event and ​2 bronze medals in pairs with Leisha Strachan. She was the grand national champion in medley, solo dance twirl, ​solo, and dance twirl team with Leisha Strachan and Dana Peteleski. Special awards Kristin received include the ​CBTF senior individual Challenge Cup, Athlete of the Year, Overall Athlete of the Year, and Athlete of the Year - ​Pair/Team with Leisha Strachan. In her experience as a world level athlete, Kristin travelled to Switzerland, Texas, ​Holland, Italy, and Hawaii. Since then, Kristin has coached athletes from recreational to elite level, bringing ​athletes to represent Canada at 7 different world competitions. Kristin has choreographed many routines ​worldwide which have earned several national and international titles. Kristin loves teaching and works towards ​positively fostering development, challenging students to their highest potential, and creating a passion for ​baton twirling.


Because dancing will always be a part of her life, Kristin continues to teach Zumba and has been a licensed ​Zumba instructor for the past 15 years.
